The 2017 Dodge Charger is available in eight models: SE, SXT, R/T, Daytona, R/T Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat. Pricing for the Charger starts at $27,995.
The 2017 Charger has a whopping four engine choices for its various models. The standard 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine works alongside the standard eight-speed automatic transmission to get up to 30 highway mpg. This engine produces up to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque.
The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine gets up to 25 highway mpg while producing up to 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The 392 HEMI V8 engine produces 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Supercharged 6.2L HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 engine is a beast and is only available on the SRT Hellcat. It delivers 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
In addition to a ton of power from the engine, Active Exhaust is standard on all HEMI V8 models. It features a 2.75-inch electronically controlled active exhaust system to give the Charger that signature muscle car sound.
With available SRT Drive Modes, 2017 Charger drivers can control horsepower, steering, paddle shifters, transmission, shift speeds, suspension and traction. The four drive modes are Sport, Track, Default settings and the Custom mode allows the driver to select their favorites.
SRT models also feature three-mode Billstein adaptive damping suspension, featuring Track, Sport and Auto modes.
The 2017 Dodge Charger is capable of so much, but that doesn’t really matter if you’re not comfortable sitting inside the car. The 8.4-inch touchscreen Uconnect system has Apple Car Play, Android Auto and navigation with multi-touch gestures.
