The 2018 Dodge Charger is available in seven grades: SXT, R/T, Daytona, R/T Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat. Starting MSRP for the 2018 Charger is $28,495. Pricing starts a little higher for 2018 grades than 2017 because the SXT is now the base model, not the SE.
Powering the 2018 Dodge Charger is a big task and there are four different engines powering the various grades. The award-winning 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine is standard and works with the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission to get up to 30 highway mpg and produce up to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque.
The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine gets up to 25 highway mpg while producing up to 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The 392 HEMI V8 engine produces 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Supercharged 6.2L HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 engine is legendary and only available on the top-of-the-line SRT Hellcat. It delivers 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, and is why the Charger owns the mantle of fastest, quickest, most-powerful sedan in the world.
To give the 2018 Charger that distinct muscle car sound, Active Exhaust, which has a 2.75-inch electronically controlled active exhaust system, is standard on all HEMI V8 models.
Other standard and available features of the 2018 Charger are 8.4-inch Uconnect system with radio touchscreen, backup camera, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and navigation with multi-touch gestures. A BeatsAudio sound system is available for optimal sound, as well as more than 80 available safety and security features.
