The 2019 Ram 1500 will be available in six grades: Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited. Pricing has not yet been released, but we’ll update this page when it is.
The 2019 Ram 1500 will have the same two engines as the previous year, but with a new hybrid system for both. The eTorque mild hybrid system improves fuel efficiency on the second generations of the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and 5.7L HEMI V8 engines. The eTorque systems allows for better performance, drivability, towing capabilities and payload as well. The eTorque system joins a 48-volt battery pack with a belt-drive motor generator to allow for start/stop function, brake energy regeneration and short-term torque assist.
With eTorque, the standard 3.6L V6 delivers up to 305 horsepower and up to 269 lb.-ft. of torque. With eTorque on the 5.7L HEMI, the truck produces up to 395 horsepower and up to 410 lb.-ft. of torque.
Because the 2019 Ram 1500 is 225 pounds lighter and made of 98 percent high strength steel, it’s more durable than ever. Additionally, the 1500 can tow and haul more weight too. It has a best-in-class V8 engine towing of up to 12,750 pounds and a max payload of 2,300 pounds.
Visually, the 2019 Ram 1500 is very different from the 2018 model. Every model in the 2019 Ram 1500 lineup has “RAM” stamped on the grille as well as a chiseled Ram’s head logo. The headlights are more slender and wider than the current model year and are available as halogens and LEDs. The entire truck is longer and wider with a generous interior thanks to an extra four inches of cab length.
The 2019 Ram 1500 is now the most technologically advanced Ram 1500 ever as well. It has an available 12-inch touchscreen display — the largest in its class — with Uconnect 4C. The touchscreen is reconfigurable and has split-screen capability for dual-application operation. Other features of the Uconnect system are a Harman Kardon audio system with 19 premium speakers, 900-watt surround sound amplifier, 10-inch subwoofer and active noise cancellation; media center with new multi-function USB ports, auxiliary ports and available wireless charging; new SiriusXM with 360L personalized listening experience; SiriusXM Guardian Connected Services; 360-degree Surround View Camera with bird’s eye perspective; Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; and available navigation.
