Introducing the 2019 Jeep Cherokee

January 15th, 2018 by

Jeep gave the public a sneak peek mid-December when the global car company announced a redesign for the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The public was treated with just a handful of photos that showed its new look, with styling that was more in line with Jeep heritage.

Earlier this week, Jeep unveiled the 2019 Cherokee in all its goodness at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Mike Manley, head of Jeep Brand for FCA Global, touted the 2019 Cherokee as mid-size SUV that can more than keep up with what drivers want out of a Jeep.

“A stunning, more premium design and the addition of our new fuel-efficient 2.0-liter turbo engine make the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee even more desirable in the mid-size SUV segment, Manly said in a press release. “In addition, Cherokee builds on its benchmark 4×4 capability and on-road dynamics with refinement and style, a host of new attributes, powertrains and the latest technology that is perfectly situated for consumers worldwide.”

It’s no secret the Cherokee has a look that’s completely different from any other Jeep, and it can be polarizing. The 2019 Cherokee still has that distinct look, while also staying true to Jeep’s iconic styling. The 2019 Cherokee has a new front fascia, hood, daylight running lamps, fog lamps and LED headlamps; five new wheel designs, including 19-inch premium wheels on the Overland model; open-air freedom with the available dual-pane sunroof; and handsfree, lightweight power liftgate.

As for the interior, it got an upgrade too. There are Piano Black and Satin Chrome high-gloss accents throughout the cabin as well as more convenient storage space and more rear cargo volume.

Along with the new 2.0L turbo engine, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee has best-in-class Jeep Trail Rated capability. It has up to a 51.2:1 crawl ratio, Jeep Selec-Terrain traction control system with up to five modes and enhanced four-wheel-drive systems.

We’re keeping our eyes out for more news about the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Stay tuned to our blog and social media pages for future updates on this rad SUV!
