The Pros and Cons of Drop-in Bedliners
A truck bedliner can be a game-changer if you’re hard on the bed of your truck from hauling work equipment or fun toys for weekend hobbies. A drop-in bedliner will preserve your bed and can even be removed or replaced when it’s time to sell your truck. This will help your truck retain value as the bed will look brand new for the next person. Drop-in bedliners are a great option, but they may not be for everyone. In this blog, we are going to talk about a few pros and cons of drop-in bedliners.

PROs
The biggest pro of drop-in bedliners is that the liner can be removed. This is awesome for many reasons. First, you can hit the reset button on the condition of your truck bed at any time. If your bedliner is worn out, just get a new one! Or, if your truck bed becomes damaged, adding a drop-in bedliner can protect the undamaged areas. Second, you can make your truck bed look brand new for resale. Third, the price of a drop-in bedliner is cheaper than a spray-in liner. Fourth, they’re easy to install. You can do this by yourself at home without having to pay a professional or wait for an appointment.
CONs
The first con has to do with fitting. A drop-in bedliner has to be a precise dimension in order to fit in the bed of your truck correctly. This includes measurements of the wheel-wells, the sidewalls and the width and length of the floor. It can get very frustrating trying to fit one of these in your truck bed perfectly. Next, drop-in bedliners are made of plastic, so unless you have your cargo strapped down, it’s likely going to slide all over the place. Lastly, drop-in bedliners collect water. They are manufactured with grooves so water doesn’t pool at the top and damage your cargo but it can still pool underneath the upper grooves.
Drop-in bedliners are a great value, but they may not be for everyone.
