New Tradesman Model for 2019 Ram 1500
There’s a new Tradesman in town! A new 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman that is! The Tradesman is the base model of the Ram 1500 and it was purely designed for work — small business and construction jobs. Along with the redesigned 2019 Ram 1500, the Tradesman model is all new as well.
“Ram launched the original Tradesman model in 2011, and our work truck customers have enjoyed Ram’s benchmark durability ever since,” Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand for FCA, said in a press release. “Ram has the highest owner loyalty of any half-ton truck and the Ram 1500 Tradesman model will continue to deliver confidence for hard-working people who rely on it every day.”
The 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman comes in two cab styles and two bed lengths: quad cab with long bed (6-foot 4-inch bed), crew cab with short bed (5-foot 7-inch bed) or crew cab with optional long bed.
One of the major updates of the 2019 Ram 1500 is that it’s 225 pounds lighter. Its use of high-strength steel allows for the weight loss while giving the truck a maximum towing weight of 12,750 pounds and a max payload of 2,300 pounds when in quad cab configuration.
Tradesman has the 3.6L Penstastar V6 engine with eTorque mild hybrid system as standard. In addition to this engine, there are two additional engines available as well, 5.7L HEMI V8 and 5.7L HEMI V8 with eTorque.
The 2019 Ram 1500 is definitely a performer thanks to its many standard features. These are:

The 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman is a work truck through and through, but that doesn’t mean it sacrifices tech and convenience features. The Uconnect 5.0 system is standard on the Tradesman and it includes:

• Three USB ports
• One auxiliary port
• 12-volt auxiliary power outlet
