Ram’s Towing/Hauling Capabilities

March 30th, 2017 by

Trucks are crazy versatile vehicles. We’d go so far as to say that a truck’s greatest use is to haul and tow. Sure, you can pack up a car or an SUV and transport stuff with your large trunk space, but if you’re looking to seriously haul or tow, a truck is what you really need. Take a look below at Ram’s towing/hauling capabilities!

Whether you’re looking to haul gear, tools, lumber, furniture or tow ATVs, a vehicle, trailer, boat, RV, construction equipment or just about anything else, a Ram truck is where it’s at.

The first thing you need to know when looking for a Ram is how much weight do you expect to have in payload and towing? Payload weight is the sum of all cargo and contents carried in the bed of a vehicle, according to Ram. The trailer tongue weight (the downward force exerted on the hitch ball by the trailer coupler) has to be accounted for in the total payload when towing. The maximum towing weight is the total amount of weight a vehicle can safely pull and that includes the weight of a trailer and its contents.
