When you buy a new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, you’ll receive up to a $7,500 federal tax credit. This substantially reduces the purchase price of the vehicle making it more competitive and sometimes even cheaper than its gasoline counterpart.

When driving a hybrid or plug-in hybrid vehicle, the powertrain automatically switches between battery and gasoline power so you are always operating the most efficient way while retaining power for when you need it most. You don’t even have to plug in if you don’t want to! You can use the power of the regenerative braking to capture energy back to the battery to aid in efficiency.
